On a photo assignment, late afternoon, on a blustery Sunday in February, teeth chattering, cameras clicking, we we stood freezing as we grabbed shots of Hart Plaza in downtown Detroit.

The Plaza was deserted, the expanse of the city at the riverfront, all ours in which to revel and marvel. 

Our creative renaissance. 

In spite of the cold, it was "magic hour" in the city, exhilarating to see: three - count them three --  video shoots in progress. Starving artists, budding rock stars, photographers, videographers - the creatives in the D - are out in force.
